I MEAN HONESTLY, WHAT DO a varsity college football standout, a graduate of Manhattan School of Music who wants to run for president, a sick Frisbee player with his own radio show and unreal expertise in organic chemistry, and an aspiring entrepreneur who is the next Jimi Hendrix with equally mind blowing riffs and business plans have in common? Their line-up completed in April 2006, THE HORIZONTALS are WILL HADUCH, ANDREW LOHSE, KRISTIAN DOUMA, and JASON VADIMSKY respectively, a group of diverse and talented musicians with one goal: to make the best music possible, reaching a wide audience through their live shows. Their sound is informed by everyone from Weezer to Elliott Smith to Led Zeppelin to John Mayer and their songs are honest and meaningful, honed through four years of collaboration between frontman Will Haduch and drummer Andrew Lohse. Bassist Kristian Douma acts as the elder statesman of the band, applying his insane critical knowledge of the rock scene and awesome-bands-you’ve-never
-heard-of to keep the influence eclectic, as lead guitarist Jason Vadimsky brings the heat through his solos like you’ve never heard before. THE HORIZONTALS are finally finishing their first EP, release TBA, after playing shows all over New Jersey for the past two years at venues like Starland Ballroom, The Stone Pony, The Court Tavern, Crossroads, Cagney’s, Chubby's, The Galaxy, and other landmarks.
